Newt Scamander is an animal scientist who has traveled the world throughout his life and collected magical beasts with different properties during his travels. He carries these magical monsters that he collected in his worn-out suitcase that he never leaves with him. When he went to New York for a short visit in 1926, he lost his suitcase, which he was very careful about.
